"I'm excited for Long Beach State, for my opportunity there, but at the same time I'm keeping all the doors open and if something amazing happens, if I get lucky, I'll look at that a little closer," Hampson said. "I've always said that education is really important to me, but at the same time if an opportunity comes up and it makes sense you have to take that opportunity when you can."
"I think 'expect' is a strong word," Whittemore said. "I think I have an 'interested' or 'will be excited if' mentality. We have several players in our program who are worthy of being drafted, but that doesn't seem to matter a lot. There's a huge signability factor that's involved."
