From its art style to its delivery, Kenshi is a unique and interesting concept, blending genres and cultures alike. Combining the character development and intimacy of an RPG with the over reaching control of an RTS is no easy feat, though those willing to try can take notes from Mount Blade's playbook though, admittedly Kenshi is more of an RTS with RPG elements and Mount Blade an RPG with RTS elements. That and samurai roaming the desert makes me think of both Samurai Jack and Samurai Champloo. but perhaps that's just me.
What Needs Improvement
Recently updated to version 0.47, Kenshi is only in the alpha phase of development by Lo Fi Games with a lot of room to grow. As it says on its official Steam Early Access page, the game is still missing a lot of features, such as audio, character customization, and other mechanics that are intended in the final release but this is an alpha prior to version 0.5, so it's to be expected. Despite these technical games, the game as is is pretty involved.
The world is indeed a vast one and in each game, you start in one of the many pre made cities. Right now, your scope is pretty limited from what you can see at any given time (you can't move too far away Puma Fenty Creepers Brown
Overall, the game just needs more stuff, though the developers are already aware. Audio, definitely, but also more equipment, character portraits, start conditions, variation of terrain. The works. And again, it's not meant to be a harsh or damning criticism as an alpha is what it is (and in this case, pretty darn good).
There are still major areas to improve upon, however, namely with the game's UI and menus, controls, and AI. For example, at the time of writing there's no way to get back to the main menu to start a new game if you're already playing one. In order to start a new game, you'll have to hop out of Kenshi entirely to get back to the main menu. That and economy automation isn't existent (at least that I've seen). That is, it's more difficult than what it needs to be to process raw stone Puma Sneakers Basket
Early on, you're not very well equipped either you lack money, experience, equipment, or any combination of the three. And so, if a band of sand ninjas (yes, those are a thing) stumble upon your makeshift outpost, you best run as fast as you can to the nearest friendly wanderers for help. Though I've gotten my butt kicked a number of times, I will admit that even in alpha, a lot of the cinematography for the combat animations are pretty cool to watch, almost reminiscent of Shogun 2. With all of these characteristics, Kenshi's on its way to becoming a strong title in the near future.
Master Your Destiny
When starting a new game, the player is given a choice in starting conditions. Are you a lone wanderer with some cash, a sword, and a pocket full of dreams? Or are you the leader of a small band of "freedom fighters" fed up with city life, wanting to start your own empire in the endless sands? Perhaps you are Puma Men's Basket Classic Citi Series Sneaker

from your selected unit), but the game is built to scale. As it includes the passage of time, it really does take a couple of minutes for one of your guys to hoof a mile. And speaking of hoofin' it, you have to move fast with all of those pesky bandits about.
into building materials. The more Lo Fi can automate with regards to its RTS features, Puma Ignite Limitless 2017 the better.
Open world games seem to be a pretty big trend lately. With titles like Mount Blade: Warband, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, and the Elder Scrolls series, along with upcoming games like The Division and Destiny that are trying to join the action of FPS with the vastness of an RPG, it only makes sense that indie developers follow trends in their own ways. Kenshi does just that, blending real time strategy with RPG elements in a steampunk samurai in a desert sort of way.
One thing that irks me though, especially when I'm trying to find ways to make money is that you should be able to loot money off of those bandits (or really anyone) you kill. You can take their stuff, sure, but apparently not their cash. Though it's still in its early stages, $15.99 isn't an unreasonable investment for a title with so much potential. Whether or not Lo Fi acts upon this potential, however, will remain to be seen. So far, so good.
